: And you have to admit that the line between fiction and non-fiction can be pretty blurry in that part of the bookstore. ;)
I am not sure what to make of Neale Donald Walsch. I have not read any of his books and only recently became aware of him as a result of an article/interview about him on Beliefnet. Based on what I read of his views in that interview I have some reason to doubt that what he is claiming is actual revelation of God. A lot of what he is saying seems to be personal philosophy arising out of his own experience and contemplation of life. There is nothing wrong with this at all other than that he seems to be claiming that his books constitute a capital 'R' "Revelation" of the mind of God. I believe that one must be very careful in using the word "Revelation" in this sense.
Here is a non-fiction capital 'R' "Revelation" of God that is built into our solar system that all who "have eyes to see" may rely on as a bona fide "Sign in the Heavens" symbolizing God's divine omniscience, amongst other things -
