Is this Pope John Paul II waving from beyond the grave? Vatican TV director says yes

Here we go again...another natural image interpreted as a divine message. Whether it is faces or images in stains or various drippings etc. God either has a wicked sense of humor or more likely...reflects what is called "pareidolia" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia) or our tendency to find significant features...faces etc. in natural forms.
Last winter...maybe even still today...people made a pilgrimage to an overpass in Chicago because road salt stains on the metal appeared to look like the Virgin Mary.
How many of us thought an alien civilization once existed on Mars because of the "faces" staring at us....our original home! etc etc.
This is what passes for organized religion today....
I think if the divine wanted to communicate....there are many ways to do so that are convincing....if it is merely a game of faith...see whatever you see and if you believe you are saved and if you reject go to hell is quite obscure...but hey, God can do what God wants.
