For those who know of my previous posting on climate alarmism my endorsement of this book as both an entertaining read coupled with "inconvenient" facts should be no surprise. This is actually my first Crichton book....and I like his fast paced yet informative style...perfect for the vacation reader.

Basically, the story involves the dark deeds of an environmental organization...the "National Environmental Resource Fund (NERF)"...which is trying to engineer some major calamities to push their agenda. Opposition to their plans involves a couple of young attorneys...hero and heroine, a rich environmentalist backer of NERF who learns the truth, and two secretive govt agency types. Throughout the story real data and assessments of the current climate debate are highlighted...it is eery how the events since 2004 (publication date) have mirrored some of the story line...think Al Gore.

Read the book...enjoy the story for what it is....and maybe learn somethings the orthodox global warming ..or is it "change" now (convenient...since climate always changes!)...scientific and political community don't want to address.
