We are all children of the One God, regardless of the way we have been taught to worship or believe. As there is only One God, I would think that all forms of loving worship would be acceptable to him. You should participate in a church or fellowship that is seeking to do good in your community, but also promoting love, harmony, understanding, and peace for all the family of humanity.

When Jesus was confronted by his disciples as to how to respond to another individual who was not in their group doing the same type of ministry and healing, He said to them that All who are doing good are doing God's work. His disciples were to leave the individual alone and not interfere with his ministry.

Each of us relates to the "One" in our individual ways. Each of us have had different experiences and differing exposure to teachings that are not included in the Bible, but are included in the Sacred Texts of the other world religions. We will each interpret them differently and/or accept various teaching as being true or false based on what we have been taught or learned. This does not make all the other views wrong, but just not right for us at our current level of understanding.

This being said, Jesus left us with two commandments: To love and serve God; and to love and serve humanity. Any church or religious group that promotes and supports these two commandments is doing God's work. When you are looking for a church home, fellowship, and or a minister, these are the two prime criteria that should guide your choice.

With love,

Thank you....I continue to consider various local options....my 8 yr old daughter would like to attend (to be with friends from school) the problem is I don't want to go to a Lutheran church that teaches things I don't believe...or a Catholic church etc. Difficult straights to be in as a Unitarian.....the other possible churches..UCC etc. are not in my local town..so none of her friends would be there....of course making new friends is good to. In the end, it must remain a place of worship and not a social / play time.
