Hi Everyone,

Here is a new webpage that I created entitled Our Unitarian Heritage-A Tribute to Black History Month http://www.unitarianministries.com/our_u...tory_month

This site includes a listing of great books written about famous African American Unitarians. Please post a response if anyone have read any of these books. Also, any book not listed please share.

On a similar note, I have explored other areas of interest such as the Unitarian presence and influence globally. If I can find enough resources online, I will create a webpage which includes books about this topic as well.

Sincerely,

Maurisa

Have you looked at the ICUU page? http://www.icuu.net/ Information is sometimes spotty on different groups around the world, but it's still a good resource.

DRUUM...mixed feelings I have to confess. My best friend is black, gay and a seminarian at Starr-King and active with DRUUM. I respect the intent, but I think it goes about things the wrong way. Personally I think Thandeka's understanding is better, plus anyone who was re-named by Desmond Tutu is, to me, golden. I respect and admire the Archbishop tremendously (which might be obvious from my blog posting today)...anyhoo good page thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the post. As an African American, I have not heard of many famous African Americans who are Unitarian. I am glad that there have been some Smile.
