Agreed. So everytime I feel I posted a very good topic, and no one responds, I *try hard* not to take it personally....I just take heart in the fact that some people ARE reading them, just may not have much argument with it, or just not interested in that kind of topic. Could be the summer, the holydays, or just plain ol' life is interfering. :-) Besides, whatever posts I post, I don't always expect a response right away, if any at all. Heck, at my UU forums I sub to, I post a few articles there and rarely do I get a good discussion going. Tis no biggie for me.

Chocolate. Margaritas. Experiencing the wonders of being mildly-moderately drunk. Causually dating. Being pawed all over, and pawing another. Listening to opera. Writing poetry, songs or short stories, even if it is sex stories. Hedonism is a part of my spirituality, as sexuality is as well.
Just remember something for me, eh? All good/consensual sex acts are hedonistic in nature, but not all hedonistic acts are sexual. ;-)
:::: one should revel in all the joys the sensual world offers (within reasonable limits of health and ethics, of course). They are the gifts of God/dess, and denying them is not more holy, it is less so- and denying them to another is a blasphemy, an attempt to usurp the gifts that are god's alone to give or deny. :::
Joel, did you read a post of mine that I posted..."Attitudes of Gratitude"? I spoke of not starving myself as that is spitting in the life's affirmation. That is the way I see it, Joel. To deny myself pleasure, is to spit in life's eye.
Honestly, I could never understand the religious people "need" to fast and deny themselves the hedonistic pleasures of the world.
Now, everyone, do yourselves a favor....give your spouse/S.O. a long sensual kiss!!!! ;-)
As for myself, I have a date tomorrow!
