Marx himself wasn't religious, but his comment on religion as the opiate of the masses was a natural jumping-off point for my sermon. (Who would have thought I would be writing sermons? If my friends could see me now...) Besides, anyone who has ever visited a UU church knows that almost anything can become a sermon topic.
