That is the whole point, KT~! This is AUC, and it has an orientation (religious) that UUers aren't used to. I was commenting to Roger here, but this is not really a religious comment, rather a sociological one...in fact, it is anti-religious and anti-Unitarian in particular, if anything. No, in the AUC churches, political topics, considered both divisive and beside the point of a religious-seeking people, will be discouraged, if I understand it right. This is very necessary for the religion to succeed. Individuals can jaw, but the AUC will not officially take stands on political issues. There may be social justice issues, but the difference needs to be very clear-cut, such as something involving religion.
